Since the late 1980's, New York Power Authority (NYPA) has provided audit, design, implementation and financing services to schools and other public institutions across the state that are interested in pursuing large energy retrofit projects.
Energy conservation measures provided under the program include a broad spectrum of efficiency and renewable technologies. Projects are designed to return a net positive cash flow that enables school districts to pay for the improvements through avoided energy costs.
