In order to reduce the rising electricity cost for its industrial customers, Danville Utilities (DU) teamed up with the U.S. DOE Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs) to connect interested customers with IACs based on university campuses.
The high-quality assessments offered by IACs and DU's efforts to encourage implementation of recommendations, resulted in $100,000 in annual energy savings for one DU industrial customer.
