Conservation Analysis Spreadsheet (Waverly Light and Power)

Waverly Light and Power (WLP), a municipal utility that serves 4,600 customers in and around Waverly, Iowa uses this Conservation Analysis spreadsheet to track their energy efficiency program results and cost-effectiveness. This version released March 3, 2010 demonstrates the impact of WLP's programs, since they were launched in 1991.

These include:

• Total demand reduction of 3.4 MW
• $6.2 million in customer savings
• $9 million in deferred capital costs

Working with the Energy Center of Wisconsin, Glenn Cannon, the former General Manager of WLP, developed a blank version of this spreadsheet that peer utilities can adapt to track their own energy efficiency offerings, costs, and results.
